Adult Echocardiogram studies with or without contrast. For evaluation of cardiac structures and function . An echocardiogram (ECHO) uses sound waves (ultrasound) to create a picture of your heart. A gel is placed on your chest to help transmit the sound waves and a transducer (a unit that directs sound waves) is moved over your chest. This test involves no pain or discomfort. A typical test takes about 15 to 45 minutes. For a regular echocardiogram, no special preparation is needed. echocardiogram test
Also known as SPECT, Nuclear Cardiology, MIBI , or Myocardial Perfusion Testing MPI . This test detects coronary artery disease and stratify risk for cardiac events in those with suspected or established coronary artery disease. We use technetium-99m tetrofosmin (Myoview). The testing protocols and advanced camera hardware and software utilized allow for considerably lower injected radiopharmaceutical activity, resulting in significant lower patient radiation doses.
This test combines an ultrasound of the heart and a stress test.
